"I would like to endorse candidate Devin Elkin for Councillor of Ward 14. I have always found him to be a good listener, direct and responsive. I have witnessed Devin contributing to the community both professionally and in his personal time for decades. I perceive him as a candidate who will work to represent his constituents ahead of any party line. I have seen Devin engage the community in meaningful dialogue over challenging issues such as rezoning – and actively advocate for the voice of the ward. In the past Devin had advocated and successfully achieved changes that were asked for by the neighborhood – for example traffic safety improvements when he was president of the Midsun Community Association. I will be voting for Devin."

"I am writing to express my full support for Devin Elkin as a candidate for City Council. As the President of the Parkland Community Association for the past five years, and a former President of the Sandstone MacEwan Community Association, I have worked directly with Devin for half a decade. In his role as an assistant to the current Ward 14 Councillor, I have witnessed first hand his deep understanding of City Hall operations. Devin is highly skilled at navigating the complexities of city departments and effectively resolving issues to get things done for our community. Devin has consistently demonstrated a willingness to tackle challenging community issues head-on. They have always been a strong advocate for residents, stepping in to mediate disputes between neighbors and our community. Furthermore, Devin has attended the majority of our community association's board meetings, always bringing a professional yet approachable presence. Devin has been an outstanding representative for Ward 14, and I am confident he will continue to serve our community with dedication and skill as our next City Councillor."
Darren Way - President, Parkland Community Association (2020-Present)
"I am writing to reflect on my personal experiences with Devin Elkin over the past 15 years. Our journey together began in 2010 when Devin assumed the role of president of the Mid Sun Community Association. At that time, I was serving on the board as the secretary and had the privilege of working closely with him throughout his entire tenure.
Devin's unwavering commitment to improving our community was evident from the outset. He attentively listened to the traffic committee’s concerns and collaborated with them to enhance safety on Sun Valley Drive. Additionally, he championed an initiative to install a new sign for Sundance and facilitated meetings with St. Mary’s University to raise awareness of this excellent facility within our neighborhood. Furthermore, Devin worked alongside the garden committee to secure a garden shed, which has been a valuable addition to our community garden. He ensured that every concern was heard and made a concerted effort to address them.
When I reluctantly assumed the role of president in 2019, Devin provided invaluable advice and support. His dedication and efforts have left a lasting impact on our community, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside him.
Please note that this is my personal opinion and does not reflect the views of the Mid Sun Community Association."

"Having known Devin for many years through my roles on a variety of civic and community partners, I am excited to see him put his name forward for city councillor for Ward 14. He has worked hard for his community, has very relevant experience and is deeply committed to the City of Calgary. I look forward to working with him again."
Patty McLeod – Former Chair of the Calgary Fish Creek Association

"I am proud to offer my full support to Devin Elkin in his campaign for Councillor of Ward 14 in Calgary. Over the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Devin and I can say without hesitation that he is exactly the kind of representative our community needs. Devin is a person of integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment. I first connected with him regarding a long-standing traffic light issue in South Calgary—a concern that had been overlooked for far too long. Devin took it seriously from day one. He didn’t just listen—he took action. He worked persistently to address the issue, navigating the complexities of city systems and advocating on behalf of residents. It wasn’t just a one-time conversation either. He consistently followed up and followed through, keeping the lines of communication open and ensuring progress was made. What stands out most to me is how Devin engages with people. He approaches every conversation with patience, kindness, and genuine respect—even when the topics are challenging. He makes people feel heard and valued, and that kind of leadership is rare. Devin is deeply committed to the well-being of our community, and I have no doubt he will bring that same work ethic and thoughtful leadership to City Council. I have immense respect for him and truly believe he is the right choice for Ward 14. I wish him every success in the campaign and beyond."

"As one of the founders & first president of the Calgary Legacy Community Association, working with Devin was genuinely wonderful. He supported us every step of the incorporation process with clarity and care, guiding us as community members as we worked to get the Calgary Legacy Community Association officially established. Something we were able to accomplish in a remarkably short period of time thanks to his support. Devin attended many of our community meetings both in the lead-up to incorporation and during my term as president. He consistently showed up with great ideas, strong connections, and an excellent, positive attitude. Above all, he was deeply community-driven and community-oriented, and that made all the difference. I’m excited to see Devin running to represent our ward; his passion and dedication to our communities have always been outstanding."
Alexandra Velosa – Founder and First President of the Legacy Community Association
My background is 16 years of public service; first serving on a community association on the executive, and now managing a community hall. In both roles, I met with our Ward 14 councillor, either the counsellor themselves or their assistant. I met Devin in 2010, when he became Peter Demong’s assistant. Since that time, Devin has regularly attended community association board meetings, and whilst there, he would readily answer any City related questions and investigate if there was a further need.
In Ward 14 there has been a troublesome issue with an intersection in our community and neighbouring one. Troublesome in that there were a number of accidents due to its design and the City appeared to be delaying in addressing the issue. After listening to our concerns, Devin immediately started working on Ward 14’s behalf; he talked to the personnel in the Roads department, and actively campaigned for a change at this intersection. As a result, we now have new lights at this intersection that make it safe for residents and all Calgarians.
There have been numerous other issues over the years that were brought to Devin’s attention. Devin could always answer the questions, indeed his knowledge of the City workings and applicable personnel is impressive and his action is immediate and effective. I want my Ward 14 councillor to know who to talk to and how to get things done. I want my Ward 14 councillor to be versed in the machinations of the City when things happen in our community that need to be addressed. I can’t think of anyone better for the job.
Erika Diaz - Ward 14 Resident
In a world of big talkers and takers, Devin is the rare person who's a do-er. That's what you want in your representative. Through his years immersed in the happenings at city hall he's gained valuable knowledge regarding the organizational disfunction, redundancies and inefficiencies that are prevalent in municipal politics. Despite these, Devin has worked hard to accomplish great things for the communities and individuals that he works with, and perhaps more importantly, takes positive actions to bring change to these government shortcomings. That's what you want in a representative. Through my years working with Devin he actually takes the time to listen, is receptive to practical solutions and actions that will actually work for those involved, and then gets his hands dirty trying to execute those solution for his people. That's what you want in a representative. For these reasons and many more Devin is exactly the representative and leader our communities and city needs. I am very pleased to offer my wholehearted endorsement and support for Devin.
